Responsible gambling tools at LuckyBoom: what’s available and how they work

Every player should be able to set their own limits before things get uncomfortable. At LuckyBoom, you get a full set of control tools — deposit limits, loss limits, wagering limits, session timers, reality checks, time-outs, and self-exclusion. None of them are hidden behind support tickets or manual requests. You set them in your account settings, and they apply immediately.

Deposit, loss, and wagering limits

You can cap how much you deposit, lose, or wager per day, week, or month. Limits are enforced in real time — once you hit the ceiling, further deposits or play are blocked until the period resets or you adjust the limit (which may take 24 hours to take effect when lowering). These are the typical ranges:

Limit typeDaily rangeWeekly rangeMonthly rangeActivation time
Deposit limit€10 – €5,000€50 – €25,000€200 – €100,000Immediate
Loss limit€20 – €5,000€100 – €25,000€400 – €100,000Immediate
Wagering limit€50 – €10,000€250 – €50,000€1,000 – €200,000Immediate
Session time limit15 min – 8 hrsN/AN/AImmediate

Ranges are illustrative — you can set any value within the minimum and maximum shown. If you want a limit outside these brackets, contact support and they’ll review it manually.

Reality checks and session timers

A reality check is a pop-up that appears after a set period of continuous play, showing how long you’ve been logged in and your net result since the session started. You can set it to any interval between 15 minutes and 8 hours. The session timer works the same way — when it expires, the platform automatically logs you out. Both are optional and can be turned on or off from the account dashboard at any time.

Time-outs and self-exclusion

A time-out is a short break — 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a time-out, you cannot log in, deposit, or play. The account is simply locked. Self-exclusion is a longer commitment: minimum 6 months, extendable to 1 year, 5 years, or permanently. To set either option:

  1. Go to Account > Responsible gambling.
  2. Select “Time-out” or “Self-exclusion”.
  3. Choose the duration from the dropdown.
  4. Confirm — the restriction activates immediately.
  5. For self-exclusion, you’ll also receive a confirmation email with support contacts.

Self-exclusion cannot be reversed early. Time-outs can be lifted after the period ends, but not before. If you need help setting either, live chat is available 24/7.

External support organisations

The platform includes direct links to recognised help services. These are not substitutes for the in-house tools — they’re additional resources if you want professional advice or structured support:

  • Loket Kansspel: 0900 – 20 23 202 (Dutch helpline)
  • Kansspelautoriteit (KSA): kansspelautoriteit.nl
  • Jellinek Preventie: jellinek.nl
  • GamCare: gamcare.org.uk
  • Gambling Therapy: gamblingtherapy.org

All tools are available from the moment you register. You don’t need to deposit first or wait for a cool-down period to set limits. If you want to change or remove a limit, expect a 24-hour cooling-off period before the change takes effect — that delay is intentional, not a bug.

Play with Awareness: Recognising the Signs and Knowing Where to Turn

We built LuckyBoom for entertainment — the kind where you set your own pace, play what you enjoy, and log out without second-guessing. But any casino that takes its responsibility seriously also tells you what to watch for. Problematic gambling doesn't start with a single big loss. It starts with small shifts in behaviour that, left unchecked, reshape how you relate to money, time, and the people around you. Here is what those shifts look like in practice, and what you can do about them — on our platform and beyond.

Common warning signs — and what they look like in real play

The line between recreational play and problematic behaviour is rarely a single moment. It is a pattern. Below are the patterns we see most often in player accounts (both here and across the industry). If any of these sound familiar, it is worth pausing — not because you have done something wrong, but because awareness is the first lever you can pull.

  • Chasing losses: You lose €50 on a slot, so you deposit another €50 to "win it back." Then another. The loss becomes a target — and the target keeps moving.
  • Losing track of time: You sit down for "one quick spin" and two hours vanish. You miss a meal, a call, or sleep without noticing.
  • Spending beyond the plan: Your monthly budget was €100. You are at €300 by the second week, telling yourself you will cut back next month.
  • Borrowing to play: You dip into a savings account, ask a friend for a loan, or use a credit card for a deposit you know you cannot pay off.
  • Hiding the activity: You clear your browser history, play on a separate device, or lie about where the money went.
  • Emotional shifts: You feel irritable, anxious, or restless when you are not playing. Winning brings a short high; losing brings a long low.

What you can do right now — internal tools on LuckyBoom

Before you ever need external help, our platform gives you ways to stay in control. These are not punishments — they are guardrails. You can set them in your account settings at any time, and they take effect immediately.

  • Deposit limits: Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on what you can deposit. The limit stays until you reduce it — and reducing it takes 24 hours to activate, giving you a cooling-off window.
  • Reality check reminders: A pop-up that shows your session time and net result. You choose the interval (15, 30, or 60 minutes).
  • Self-exclusion: Block your account for a fixed period (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or permanently). During that time, you cannot log in or play. To lift a temporary exclusion, you must contact support after the period ends.

Where to find help — a practical directory

Sometimes the internal tools are not enough, and that is fine. There are organisations that do nothing but help people recalibrate their relationship with gambling. The table below groups them by type, so you can pick the one that fits your situation — whether you want a phone call, a chat, or structured counselling.

Type of supportWhat it offersWhen it is available
Internal casino toolsDeposit limits, reality checks, self-exclusion24/7 via your account settings
National helplineFree, confidential phone or chat supportUsually 9:00 – 21:00 local time, some 24/7
Online counsellingOne-on-one sessions with a trained therapistVaries — many offer evening and weekend slots
Peer support groupsGroup meetings (online or in-person) with other playersWeekly; schedules posted online
Financial advice serviceDebt management and budgeting guidanceOffice hours, with some evening appointments

All of these services operate independently — they are not connected to LuckyBoom, and they do not share information with us. If you reach out to one, you are speaking to someone whose only interest is your wellbeing.

One more thing: the 18+ rule is not a suggestion

We verify age at registration and again during withdrawals. If you are under 18, your account will be closed. If you are over 18 but playing with money that should go to rent, bills, or dependents, the age check is not the issue — the behaviour is. That is the moment to use the tools above.

Gambling should never feel like a necessity. It is an option — one you can take or leave. We want you to enjoy it when you choose it, and walk away clean when you do not.
